Dance:

 Class Etiquette:

      Be on time for classes because it disrupts the instuctors as well as dancers will miss warming-up which is a vital part of the class and will prepare the dancer's body for instruction. All students must be signed in, and students age 4 and under must be escorted into class by a parent or guardian.

 

 

  Be on time for dismissal because students will not be allowed to stay in class once the next class has started. They must wait in the waiting room until a parent has escorted them out.

 

 

 ·      NO gum or food allowed in dance class

 

 

·        Personal water bottles allowed only to be enlosed in a dance bag.

 

 

·        No parents allowed in dance classes except for open house night. Parents must wait in waiting room during class time

 

 

·    Instructors will be allowed to remove a student from class or place them in a time-out area if behavior is an issue. Notification will be given to the parent and logged. If behavior continues to be an issue the student will be dismissed from the class for the year and no refund on paid tuition will be given.

 ·        Dancers should wear a cover up to and from class as well as carry all dance shoes in a dance bag. Never wear dance shoes outside as they will wear down quickly.

 

 

·    Students should try to be in attendance to all classes as they are learning important skills and choreography that they will perform on stage.

      

Class Attire:
 

3-5 year old ballet/jazz class

Any color leotard with dance skirt or dance shorts (or can be an all-in-one dance dress or unitard), tights of any color, pink ballet shoes, and tan jazz shoes

 

5-9 year old tap/hip hop 1 class

Any color dance leotard or tank with dance shorts, leggings or dance pants of any color, black tap shoes, and tennis shoes for hip hop

 

5-9 year old ballet/jazz class

Any color leotard with dance skirt or dance shorts (or can be an all-in-one dance dress or unitard), tights of any color, pink ballet shoes, and tan jazz shoes

 

10 – teen ballet/lyrical/jazz class

Any color leotard or tank with dance skirt or dance short, leggings, or pants, pink ballet shoes, nude/skin tone foot undeez (can be ordered through Ms. Allison), and tan jazz shoes

 

10 – teen hip hop 2 class

Any comfortable street dance wear or regular dance attire with shorts, leggings, or sweat pants, and tennis shoes or jazz sneakers

 

Acting Class

Come in comfortable clothing and shoes. Also bring a pocket folder with name on it.

Parade/Special Event Team

Any type of dance attire and jazz shoes

*Orders will be taken for special team practice wear.

 

 

Registration is required for all students, dancers are required to pay $40 registration fee which secures their spot in the Academy and each student will receive and Academy t-shirt.

 

All tuition is due on the first of each month and a late fee of $25 will be assessed after the fifth of each month.

Payments will be accepted in the form of cash, credit card, or checks.

 

There will be a $35 Academy service charge in addition to bank charges for all NSF checks.
